Al has been a dedicated, creative, passionate photographer, cinematographer and videographer, actively for the past 35 years. He studied art and photography at the, then famous, Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, where he received his BFA degree. Having a strong artistic background in illustration, design and lighting, allows Al to add that professional and distinctivly creative touch to all his work. For 20 years, Al worked as an industrial photographer, based in Chicago and traveling all over North America. Specialties were aerial photography, annual report photography, executive portraits, fuel industry photography, like in coal mines, mountainous drilling Riggs and off shore drilling, to name a few. Also pipeline activities across the U.S.

As a photo illustrator of trade publications Al excells at food photography, restaurants interiors and of course: commercial kitchens. Al Chas covered live cooking shows by the likes of Julia Childs, Alma Lock and many others.

Of course weddings were always a part of every photographer's stock in trade and recently Al has been doing many ethnic based weddings as shown in his portfolio on this site.
